Oliver Burckhardt is President and Chief Executive Officer, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flower Orthopedics. From April 2009 until April 2011 Mr. Burckhardt was the President and CEO of Scient’x SA, a company that was acquired by Alphatec Spine in March 2010. Mr. Burckhardt was formerly President of Orthofix Spine, Inc. and was responsible for the Global Spine business units, where revenues exceeded US $100 million. Prior to Orthofix, Mr. Burckhardt was with Aesculap, where he served as the Vice President of Spine Sales and Marketing and played a key role in building the USA and international Aesculap spine business from start-up. Oliver brings over 20 years of industry experience. His balance of U.S. and international market development experience in orthopedics is uniquely suited to leverage Flower Orthopedics.
Brian RanftChief Operating Officer
Brian Ranft is the Chief Operating Officer of Flower Orthopedics. Prior to joining Flower, he was Chief Operating Officer at Lombard Medical Technologies where he was responsible for the Global Operational Strategic Planning and Product Development for all worldwide operations in the AAA Stent Market. From 2008 until May 2011, Mr. Ranft was Sr. Vice President of Operations at Orthofix and was responsible for Spinal Stimulation, Spinal Implants and Orthopedics Divisions. Prior to Orthofix, Brian was Vice President of Operations at Aesculap and was responsible for the company’s North American Spine, Orthopedic, Surgical, and Neuro Divisions. Mr. Ranft also spent over 15 years with B. Braun Medical where he held a number of key roles in building the North American business in the Hospital and Out Patient markets. Mr. Ranft’s experience includes: R&D, product development, forecasting and planning, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, quality and engineering.
Victoria HyczkoVice President of Finance
Victoria Hyczko is the Vice President, Finance of Flower Orthopedics. Ms. Hyczko has over 35 years of experience in accounting, finance, administration and management. From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Hyczko was the Director of Finance & Administration for Liventa Bioscience where she was responsible for the audited financial statements, managing investment banking, due diligence requirements, and supporting all capital raise activities. Additionally, Ms. Hyczko has experience managing clinical trial administrative and regulatory requirements. Prior to 2013, Ms. Hyczko was Vice President of Finance for five years, and Corporate Controller for two years with SDI, Inc., a supply chain integrator. Other experience includes structuring investment banking solutions for middle market businesses, corporate development and acquisitions, business planning, and organization restructuring. Earlier in her career, Ms. Hyczko held several financial positions for a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary.
